LODHA WORLD SCHOOL
PAWAR PUBLIC SCHOOL
SHRI RAM UNIVERSAL SCHOOL

Introduction to the school

It is said ‘If you are planning for a year, sow rice; if you are planning for a decade, plant trees; if you are planning for a lifetime, educate people’. Indeed, one can say that the quality of education determines the destiny of a nation. The importance of education in the life of an individual cannot be overstated. It shapes individuals in their formative years and imbues them with values that would govern all their choices in life. Education does not mean providing answers. It means equipping the pupil with the means to find answers for her/him. Education empowers students to discover for themselves – who they are as people.
It is extremely important for schools today to define themselves in the global scenario. What does the school stand for? What is that parents can expect from the school? We at Lodha World School are very clear about what we want to deliver. We strive to nurture young minds who wish to engage with the world of knowledge, minds that are hungry for “more”. It is our considered belief that if the process is right, the results will follow. Lodha is a brand that stands for excellence, sets the highest standards and aims to provide the “Leaders of tomorrow”.

Principal (Profile and message)

Lodha World School Palava continues to stride forward steadily, achieving greater heights. Our classroom atmosphere is conducive to personal growth. We offer a safe, non-judgmental learning environment, where students can practice their critical thinking skills.
We build grit in our students; letting them know that they are capable and competent and can dream big. Thus we inculcate an attitude of rigor. Rigor helps children understand how to live life using brain power. It asks them to collect evidence, draw conclusions and defend their viewpoint, reflect on new information. This instills problem solving skills, which prepares them to face the future.
Experiential learning is an integral part of our methodology which helps us achieve rigor and grit. We strive to provide learning experiences that are academically, intellectually and personally challenging.

Achievements

EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING

  • Lodha World School, Palava in partnership with parents and students is building a foundation for the future. We believe that each child is a unique individual who needs a safe, caring and stimulating atmosphere to grow not only physically but also emotionally, intellectually and socially.
  • It is our desire as an educator to help students meet their fullest potential by providing an environment which allows the teacher to act as a guide by providing access to information rather than by acting as the primary source of information thus allowing students the opportunity to discover for themselves answers to their questions and allowing them to practice their skills in real-life situations.
  • “Lodha Experiential Learning”, offers an experiential learning program for students for delivering 21st century skills such as analytical thinking, problem solving, creativity, information fluency, communication and collaboration. It inculcates all of these through an interdisciplinary program that is hands-on and application skill oriented.
  • In this program, children work on projects having real-world connections to classroom learning, ensuring a truly engaged learning that leads to in-classroom transformation taking them away from rote-learning.
  • HIGHLIGHTS OF THE YEAR 2017-18
  • Annual Day
  • The celebration of Annual Day provides a platform for students to showcase their talents and urges the teachers to put in their best. It is on this occasion that the children get a chance to step on to the stage and conquer their fear of speaking or performing in front of a large gathering. From an academic point of view the school annual day celebration is the best way to present our culture to the students and our celebrations are always keeping in mind the education of children. ‘All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy’ – is an oft quoted saying. At Lodha World School, Palava, a wide array of carefully selected activities/events is organised regularly to provide holistic education to our young learners. These opportunities enable them to recognize their talent, hone their skills, instill positive values and make learning fun while at the same time educating children about the works of great authors, writers and poets. Consequently, the campus of the school is always a busy place- reverberating with music, rhythm and colours of life. So, the Annual Day is a great opportunity and a day which provides a peep into the school's rich cultural mosaic.
